Coronavirus Impacts for International Students

The EWU administration has announced that courses will now be mostly online through the end of Fall term.  Please visit the Guide to Fall 2020 for in-depth information about Fall Term.

For the most up to date information about EWU's response to COVID-19 visit EWU's Coronavirus Preparedness site.

Reminders for Fall 2020

Fall course registration:  International students in F and J status are still permitted to take online-only courses at this time.  Please enroll full time for Fall term (12 credits undergraduate, 8 credits graduate.)  Your Immigration Advisor/DSO will document your full-time status based on the number of credits you are taking.

Staying inside the United States:  If you plan to take your classes inside the U.S. you will need to maintain a valid address.  You must update your address within 10 days of the change by updating your “mailing/current” address in EagleNet.

Leaving the United States:  If you plan to take your classes outside the U.S., there are several factors which could affect your immigration record.  Please contact your Immigration Advisor/DSO to receive advising.

Other concerns:  Please contact your Immigration Advisor/DSO right away if you plan to take less than full-time courses in Fall term, will be graduating anytime in 2020, or have any other questions or concerns about how Coronavirus restrictions will affect you, your travel plans, and/or your immigration record.
